HexGL

Pilot an anti-gravity ship around a high-speed track suspended above a futuristic city. HexGL is about learning the racing line, using boost strips and keeping your ship away from the barriers while chasing a faster three-lap time. The detailed track and sense of speed make it a strong desktop pick. Keyboard, touch and gamepad modes are available in the opening menu, along with graphics settings for different devices.

YOUR FIRST ROUND

How to play HexGL

Select your control mode, press Start and click the instruction screen to load the race. In keyboard mode, use Up to accelerate and Left/Right to steer. Q or A activates the left air brake; E or D activates the right air brake.

Choose Keyboard, Touch or Gamepad controls from the menu.
Press Start and click the help screen to begin loading.
Accelerate through the three-lap course and line up with boost strips.
Finish with a faster time while protecting your ship from collisions.

Tips for a better run

Use short steering corrections on fast sections to avoid clipping barriers.
Lower the Quality setting if the race does not feel smooth.
