Particle Clicker

Turn a small particle-physics experiment into a productive research lab. Click the detector to gather data, spend discoveries on research and recruit help so the experiment can progress more efficiently. Developed during CERN Webfest, Particle Clicker connects its upgrades to ideas from high-energy physics and gives curious players material to read along the way. It is a gentle introduction to incremental games with a scientific theme.

  • An incremental particle-physics lab
  • Research and staffing decisions
  • Science context alongside progression

Particle Clicker: useful things to know

A particle-physics incremental game where detector clicks generate data and research develops the experiment's reputation.

What should I do with the data from clicking the detector?

Check the Research tab. Research items display a data cost and the reputation they yield, so compare the available research with your current data rather than looking for purchases that use funding.

How is hiring staff different from completing research?

The HR tab lists workers with a funding cost and a data-per-second rate. Research uses data to produce reputation, while hiring can improve ongoing data production; compare those different costs and benefits before choosing your next purchase.
